In recent years the Shimanami Kaido has grown in popularity, with people coming from far afield to cycle the 77km route all year round. It is an amazing route, but, as is similar in life, it is off the beaten track adventure and new experiences await. On our tours in this area, we take you on journeys on the roads less traveled to meet local people and see a side of rural Japan that most miss by speeding by.
